Delighted to announce the latest release on Evergreen - ‘Achromatism’ by Chuter. This album provides a series of piano-based explorations of faded memory - a mixture of year-end retrospect and winter fatigue – a collation of memories with the colour drained from them, the energy subdued, the edges smeared. This is the first release made by Chuter with piano at the centre, producing fuzzy, almost dream-like excursions into the past. Jack Chuter is a musician and writer based in Bournemouth UK, releasing music under the solo pseudonyms Chuter, Guesswork and Upward, as well as with Lucia H Chung in the band Falling Cat Problem. They also write for experimental music site ATTN:Magazine, host the Crucial Listening podcast and run the Hard Return label. This release also features a set of remixes of each of the pieces, by Adrian Newton as Mosaicist.
